Advanced IRAs builds on the attendees’ basic IRA knowledge to address some of the more complex IRA issues that their financial organizations may handle. This is an advanced session; previous IRA knowledge is assumed. The instructor uses real-world exercises to help participants apply information to job-related situations.

Who Should Attend?
Those who are an IRA administrator, personal banker or member services personnel who have a working knowledge of basic IRA operations and wish to expand their expertise and provide enhanced customer service should register for this session. The training is ideal for financial professionals who recognize that IRAs play an integral role in retirement planning, compliance specialists with procedural oversight of IRA policies and practices, or support personnel responsible for promotional materials that describe the services provided by a financial organization.

Featuring Deb Shipman, CIS, CIP, CISP

Deb is a senior training consultant for Ascensus, Inc. She is responsible for conducting IRA training programs to meet the needs of financial institutions nationwide.  She is the project manager for Ascensus’ credit union IRA workshop tours, as well as in-house training programs. Her responsibilities include the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of these curriculums. Deb attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), has earned the designation of certified IRA specialist (CIS) through Ascensus, certified IRA professional (CIP) through Ascensus and the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU), as well as the designation of certified IRA services professional (CISP) through the American Bankers Association (ABA).
