Meet Kim Morris, our 2025 Illinois GAC Crasher!

1. What are you most excited about when it comes to crashing GAC 2025?

I’m most excited about the opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals who share a passion for advocating for credit unions and the communities they serve. Crashing the GAC provides a unique platform to learn from industry leaders, gain insights into impactful advocacy strategies, and actively engage in discussions that shape the future of the credit union movement. I'm thrilled to bring a fresh perspective, expand my knowledge, and amplify the voice of young professionals in this space.

2. What made you want to apply?

I wanted to apply because I am deeply passionate about advocacy and the credit union movement. Having worked in this field for over 20 years, I’ve seen the positive impact credit unions have on communities, and I’m eager to play a more active role in ensuring their continued success. Attending the Governmental Affairs Conference as a crasher felt like the perfect opportunity to bring fresh energy to important discussions, connect with fellow advocates, and grow both personally and professionally. I saw it as a chance to not only learn but to contribute to shaping the future of our industry.

3. What do you think you will bring to GAC? (Personality, Experience, etc)

I believe I will bring a unique blend of experience, enthusiasm, and a fresh perspective. As a former YP Advisory Committee member and current YP Ambassador and someone passionate about empowering communities, I’m eager to share innovative ideas, actively engage in discussions, and help amplify the voice of the credit union movement. My goal is to inspire and collaborate with others to strengthen our collective impact.
