MOLINE, IL (June 24, 2025) – Thirteen deserving IHMVCU members have been awarded a share of $31,500 through the 2025 IHMVCU Cash for Class Scholarship program.

In partnership with the Dream Education Foundation (DEF), IHMVCU has provided scholarships to local undergraduate, graduate, and vocational/technical students who excel in the classroom and give back to their communities.

Throughout May, IHMVCU has been celebrating the winners on social media, with a special surprise for the top four. One lucky winner got the ultimate surprise when IHMVCU’s Marketing team partnered up with Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky, to deliver the exciting news of her $10,000 prize. Since 1999, IHMVCU has invested nearly $400,000 in scholarships, helping over 300 students pursue their educational goals and build brighter futures.

2025 IHMVCU Cash for Class Scholarship recipients:

$10,000:

• Autumn Kongkousonh, a freshman at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky, studying history education. She graduated from Sherrard High School in Sherrard, Ill.

$5,000:

• Jerry Callahan, a graduating senior at Bettendorf High School, who plans to study computer engineering at a college to be determined this fall.
• Charlie Edwards, a graduating senior at Rockridge High School in Taylor Ridge, Ill., who plans to study biology at Iowa State University this fall.

$2,500:

• Maxwell Bassman, a senior at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, studying finance and business entrepreneurship. He graduated from Des Moines Roosevelt High School in Des Moines, Iowa.

$1,000:

• Madison Hilgenberg, a graduating senior at Knoxville High School in Knoxville, Ill., who plans to study elementary education at a college to be determined this fall.
• Jennifer Claussen, a graduating senior at Central DeWitt High School in DeWitt, Iowa, who plans to study nursing at the University of Iowa.
• Lauren Lundie, a graduating senior at Bettendorf High School, who plans to study biology at Creighton University.
• Hannah McCoy, a graduating senior who was homeschooled and plans to study business and culinary arts at Scott Community College.
• Jacie Hinton, a graduating senior at Kewanee High School in Kewanee, Ill., who plans to study sports communications, public relations, and marketing at Illinois State University.
• Benjamin Daily, a graduating senior at North Scott High School in Eldridge, Iowa, who plans to study computer engineering at the University of Iowa.
• Daishaun McCaw, a graduating senior at Rock Island High School, who plans to study pre-engineering at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
• Carter Ramsey, a graduating senior at United Township High School, who plans to study business at Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, Ill.
• Alyssa McCracken, a sophomore at Monmouth College in Monmouth, Ill., studying art education. She graduated from Galesburg High School in Galesburg, Ill.
