Libby Calderone is President and CEO of the Illinois Credit Union League and Envisant, a role she assumed in January 2025. She joined ICUS in 2018 as President/COO for Envisant, and previously served as CEO and President of Earthmover Credit Union in Aurora, Illinois. A credit union leader since 1987, Libby is dedicated to advancing the transformative impact of credit unions. She served on the Envisant Board of Directors, was Chair of the Supervisory Committee for Alloya Corporate FCU, and served as Board Chair for American Share Insurance. Libby is a University of Illinois graduate and a Certified Credit Union Investment Expert (CCUIE).

Prior to joining ICUL in 2004, Patrick worked for the Illinois Department of Financial Institutions for 17 years. Patrick oversees state and federal regulatory affairs and provides critical advocacy and consulting services to our member credit unions. He works closely with the IDFPR, NCUA, and ASI and is a member of CUNA's Examination and Supervision Subcommittee along with serving on AACUL's Regulatory Advocacy and Compliance Advisory Committee.

Keith Sias is Senior Vice President of Governmental Affairs at the Illinois Credit Union League and oversees ICUL’s Federal and State Legislative Advocacy programs. Keith also directs the activities of the Credit Union Political Action Council (CUPAC), is the liaison for ICUL’s Legislative Committee and serves on CUNA’s State Issues Advocacy Committee. Keith holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from at the University of Illinois at Springfield.

Ashley Niebur Sharp joined ICUL in 2013 and currently serves as Legislative Counsel and Senior Vice President of State Advocacy. Ashley’s primary responsibilities center around improving the operating environment for credit unions in Illinois through legislative advocacy. Ashley fosters positive relationships with members of the Illinois General Assembly, the Governor’s Office and statewide officials in order to educate them on the role of credit unions in Illinois. Ashley earned her Political Science degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and received her juris doctorate degree from SIU School of Law.

Melanie Murphy is Executive Director of the Illinois Credit Union Foundation. In keeping with the “People Helping People” philosophy of credit unions, she is responsible for bringing the Foundation’s programs to life. From financial health to small credit union assistance to, the Foundation’s activities cover a wide range of topics which express the heart and soul of the movement. Melanie earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Illinois and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Development from Benedictine University. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE).

Debbie Bindler serves as Executive Assistant to the CEO and as Board Liaison to the ICUL and Envisant Boards of Directors. She provides high-level executive support and coordinates board communications and governance functions. Debbie joined ICUL in March 2007, starting in the governmental affairs department before moving into her current role in 2016. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Child Development from Illinois State University and enjoys spending time with her family, including three adorable grandsons.

Staci has served the Illinois Credit Union System (ICUS) and its members since 2010. As the Director of Culture and Engagement, Staci specializes in the development and leadership of external engagement initiatives, like #ILoveMyCreditUnion Day and #CUKind Day, that reach across the credit union movement. Additionally, Staci’s role includes an internal system focus serving as the ICUS ambassador of organizational values and support for employees by way of onboarding, talent development, company culture, and staff engagement.

Nick joined ICUL in 2022 as a Regional Director, bringing with him over a decade of experience in the credit union industry. His career began in 2010 at a smaller credit union, where he gained hands-on experience that proved invaluable during its subsequent merger with a larger institution. A passionate advocate for the credit union movement, Nick is dedicated to empowering credit unions to thrive and effectively serve their communities. He is committed to fostering innovation, collaboration, and a supportive environment where all credit unions can succeed.

Kevin joined ICUS in 2015 as a Regional Director. He served as the CEO of Missouri Valley Federal Credit Union in St. Peters, Missouri and then worked with the Missouri Credit Union Association. During his 20+ years in the credit union movement, he facilitated over 500 strategic planning and training sessions for credit unions of all sizes. Kevin received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from SIU - Edwardsville. He obtained his CUDE and BSA certifications. Kevin has a passion for credit unions and collaborating on ways to help them grow and succeed.

Brian joined ICUL in April 2025. With over 16 years in the credit union industry, he started as a teller, known for his genuine care for members. Brian has held roles such as Member Service Representative, Help Desk Technician, Loan Officer, and Assistant Vice President. He graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor's in Business Administration. Outside of work, he shares time with his family and enjoys activities like golf and watching sports.

Kari Osier joined ICUL in 1999 and currently serves as Compliance Specialist. Kari researches laws and regulations in a wide range of topical areas to assist credit unions with compliance and regulatory related questions. Kari is responsible for writing Bulletin articles addressing relevant statutory and/or regulatory issues, and also contributes regular blog posts. Kari tracks proposed regulations impacting credit unions, and contributes comment letters that impact credit unions. She conducts SAFE Act audits and website reviews and has earned the Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) designation.

Shannon Basile joined ICUL in 2017 and currently serves as the Director of Compliance. Shannon assists ICUL member credit unions with compliance guidance, credit union staff training, credit union audit services, and compliance related presentations at chapter meetings. Shannon earned both her Associates of Arts in Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Benedictine University. She has also earned Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE), Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist (BSACS), Certified CU Financial Counselor (CCUFC), and CUNA Credit Union Facilitator (CCUF) designations from CUNA.

Abby Walsh joined ICUL in March 2024 and administers CUPAC, raising and disbursing funds to candidates and legislators sympathetic to the credit union movement. Prior to ICUL, Abby was the Director of Fundraising for The Newberg Group. She also has prior experience as an Illinois lobbyist and has worked in the Illinois Executive Branch and the Illinois State Legislature. Abby is an alumna of Illinois State University and participated in Leadership Illinois. She currently resides in Springfield, Illinois.

Elizabeth joined ICUL in 2024 and serves the league in compliance, advocacy, and in-house counsel functions. Prior to joining ICUL, she served the credit union movement in both compliance and advocacy roles at America's Credit Unions, CUNA, and NAFCU. Elizabeth became passionate about credit unions while working as a litigation attorney in Maine for credit unions and other financial services clients. She has also practiced in Kansas and Missouri. Elizabeth is an alumni of the University of Central Florida and Stetson University College of Law.

Sondra has been an integral part of the Member Resource team at the Illinois Credit Union League for over 20 years. She brings extensive experience in planning meetings and events for both corporate and association clients, including coordinating travel incentive programs for Fortune 500 companies. Outside of work, Sondra enjoys spending time with her husband and their Shih Tzu, Ollie. She’s passionate about travel, cooking, and exploring new restaurants.

Jasmine spent 8 years at Great Lakes Credit Union in various roles, including Branch Manager. She joined the Illinois Credit Union League in March 2022 as the YP Liaison. Jasmine holds a Master's in Adult Education and Training and was the 2020 Illinois GAC Crasher and Spirit of Service Awards winner. She serves on the AACUC Midwest Chapter Board and several committees. Outside of work, Jasmine enjoys journaling, game nights with family, and spending time with her three fur babies: Cheeto, Pepper, and Midnight.

Kaitie Mayberry Hauser joined the Illinois Credit Union League in 2024 as the Event & Partnership Coordinator. With over 25 years’ experience in the Private and Not for Profit sectors, she joins the league with a diverse background in finance, fundraising, marketing, outreach, and event management. Her role at ICUL includes providing logistical and strategic support for training initiatives and league events. She is committed to cultivating relationships with industry business partners along with maintaining and expanding existing sponsorships and new sponsorship acquisitions.

Alexandra has a master's degree in Event Management and Public Relations. She has experience with big and small events, including concerts and leadership conferences. She is passionate in her role as Training and Events Coordinator and enjoys getting to work with industry speakers. Outside of work, Alexandra enjoys reading, running, baseball, and spending time with her family and friends.

Sandy spent 11 years at 1st MidAmerica Credit Union where she gained valuable experience as a Teller, Community Relations Representative, Training and Development Manager, and Project Manager. She volunteered many years on the Burnett Chapter Board, served on ICUL's YPA committee, and represented IL as the GAC Crasher. On the weekends, she enjoys Jeeping around and flying across the country traveling with her family.

Chelsea Coffield is a passionate and creative graphic designer who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Atlanta. Since 2016, she has been a dedicated member of the ICUS team, where she brings ideas to life through thoughtful design and collaborative teamwork. Chelsea thrives in creative environments and loves being part of a team where she can contribute, grow, and inspire. Her eye for detail and love for visual storytelling continue to drive her work and fuel her passion for design.

A marketing coordinator with a talent for digital marketing, communications, and brand management, Ali found a dedicated path in the credit union industry after graduating from Columbia College Chicago in 2017. Passionate about the cooperative spirit of credit unions, Ali focuses on creating impactful marketing strategies that support their growth and member engagement.

Melissa Vidito joined ICUL in 2018 as a Marketing Coordinator. With a background in education, digital marketing, and content creation she currently oversees and coordinates the development of marketing and communications for all ICUS organizational events, products, and services with a special focus on data driven cohesive campaigns. Melissa serves as Chairperson of the ICUL Commit to Change Committee and on AACUL’s Communications & Grassroots Work Group.
