Credit Unions are a path to financial inclusion in Illinois. Through community development initiatives the Illinois Credit Union League collaborates to build productive connections with targeted communities. We provide support to Community Development Financial Institutions, Low Income Designated and Minority Depository Institutions, as well as leverage partnerships to expand access to capital in underserved communities. Additionally, we offer technical assistance to new credit union charters to support increased access to safe and affordable financial services. Our goal is to empower credit unions with the tools and resources needed to intentionally serve targeted communities and uplift marginalized people in Illinois.
