The Illinois Sister Society champions CU women in the workplace. We strive to support and advance CU women in their careers and sponsor inspirational programs, networking events, and empowering activities across Illinois throughout the year.
Sister Societies are local chapters of the Global Women’s Leadership Network (GWLN) that are established around the world to further the GWLN’s global mission by making a local impact.
As an extension of the World Council of Credit Unions, the Sister Societies raise awareness about the GWLN, increase GWLN membership, support local community efforts and serve as a platform to discuss credit union issues and foster solutions to close the gender parity gap.

League Communication Preferences1-to-1Woman Mentoring Program: A unique mentoring program created with and based on academic research. Our goal is to break the standard of mentors being more likely to mentor someone of their same culture. We hope that each woman will learn from one another the challenges faced and barriers that stoke blind spots which hinder social and economic development.
