To better coordinate the expertise our credit unions rely on, ICUL has brought our legal and compliance functions together under unified leadership. Ashley Sharp will now serve as Chief Legal Officer, guiding ICUL’s overall legal and compliance efforts. Elizabeth Sullivan will continue supporting the organization as Senior Associate General Counsel, alongside Stephanie Collazo, Corporate & Legal Operations Specialist. Our Compliance team will continue its important work under the leadership of Shannon Basile, who has been promoted to Senior Director of Compliance. This structure strengthens collaboration across the team and ensures we can continue delivering responsive, efficient support to our members and partners.
At the same time, our Advocacy team has been realigned to better support the evolving needs of credit unions at both the state and federal levels. Under the new structure, Abby Walsh, Political Action Director; Ashley Sharp, SVP – State Advocacy; and Keith Sias, SVP – Federal Advocacy, will all report directly to Patrick Smith, EVP and Chief Advocacy Officer. This streamlined approach strengthens collaboration across the team and ensures ICUL remains responsive, member‑focused, and well‑positioned to advance credit union priorities in Springfield and Washington.
