Ready to make your voice heard? Crash the GAC empowers passionate credit union professionals to network with industry leaders, learn from experts, and advocate for credit unions on a national stage.

  • Crashers accepted will earn free conference registration, covered by America's Credit Unions
  • You will be the ONE Crasher to represent the state of Illinois (National opportunity)
  • Scholarships are available for food and travel up to 3K for travel and hotel through ICUF
  • Hear from world-class keynote speakers
  • Together with the Leagues, participate in Hill Hikes to meet with lawmakers and show them the credit union difference
  • Discover the latest offerings in the industry's largest exhibit hall
  • Network with and learn from peers and thought leaders in credit unions, politics, business and more
  • Experience Washington in a unique environment with legendary receptions, meals and accommodations

 

Selected Crashers are responsible for paying for hotel and transportation arrangements as well as some food.

  • Expect to spend at least $2,300 on the hotel stay and between $300-$1000 in transportation depending on the location.
  • We recommend a per diem of at least $75 for food.

The goal of attending the Governmental Affairs Conference is for YOU to gain more knowledge on the meaningful work credit unions are doing to improve the financial well-being of their members and communities. In addition, to learn what it means to advocate for credit unions nation-wide on the bills that we support and oppose on a national level.

  • Emerging professionals are any professionals 40 or younger or “40 at heart”
  • Applicants must submit a 60-second video.
  • Submit a 60-second video explaining why you should represent your credit union and state at the GAC.
  • Use YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, Instagram, or any video service with a shareable link we can review.
  • Applications are disqualified if the video can’t be reviewed or isn’t included. Do NOT link a file.
  • Your WHY is more important than video production quality. Be your authentic self.
