Jose Garcia, President/CEO of Northwest Community Credit Union (NWCCU),located in Morton Grove, IL, was recently appointed by Governor JB Pritzker to the Board of Credit Union Advisors for the state of Illinois.

As a strong advocate of the credit union movement, he focuses not only on his current community members but small businesses, the Latino community and financial literacy for today’s youth as well. Mr. Garcia is 
particularly proud to be appointed to this influential board.

“It’s an honor to be appointed by Governor JB Pritzker. It’s important for our governing leaders to understand the needs of the credit unions in our 
state and to recognize the important services we provide to both individuals and businesses,” stated Garcia. 

This appointment coincides with the 85th anniversary of NWCCU...making it one of the most state’s longest running credit unions.
